I created a new list to vote on our next cozy mystery - here.  I put one on that has six copies in the system, and I already have one.  Add your choices, just be sure that there are enough copies in the system for everyone to order if it is chosen.

I added two.  There are plenty of copies in the system of both.  I added Carrot Cake Murders by Joanna Fluke and Catering to Nobody by Diane Mott Davidson.  I've had Carrot Cake Murders for a while and this would give me a good reason to read it!  I like the idea of starting Diane Mott Davidson's books from the beginning.  I love Goldy and the whole series.  I am surprised how many books there are in the system of hers.

You ladies are on top of things here. :)  I went to library earlier this week & was shown a section of books that they are giving away.  She said to take as many as I wanted, so I filled my library bag with a bunch.

Anyway, 2 out of the 3 listed for voting I brought home with me. lol!!

Guess I'm gonna go vote now.   cool

I added 2, one is a series I have been told was good, and i would like to start it.  The other book one has only 3 copies, but it was a short book, I read it and it was funny. I would like to read book 2, Which of course i can do at my leisure.  (hahahahahha Leisure)

Add your books and vote on the ones you would be willing to read.  Deb, when do you want to pick a winner for discussion?  We don't have one for the end of August, so do you want to do this one beginning Aug 15th?  Or because we got a late start, do you want to continue voting and discuss in mid-September?  Cozys are fast reads, so I am game for either, we just need to plan enough time for getting them ordered.

I'm new to this genre, would Nero Wolfe be considered a cozy?

If you mean the Nero Wolfe series by Rex Stout, I would say yes it's a cozy series.

I found him listed here: (under cozy mysteries)

OK, we now have 15 books on the voting list.  Vote for all you would be willing to read.  I did a lot of searching but found some with more than enough copies in the system.  Have fun!!  I searched mainly for books with recipes in them.

ETA - Make that 17

Be sure you scroll all the way to the bottom, there is a Book 1 of a series listed last (at least for now).

I'm a little burned out on nice at the moment. I've got some grittier fare lined up for the next few books I read.

Barb, you have lots of time, we won't begin discussion of this one until mid-September.  Plenty of time to read gritty before the next one.
