At night all the defenses come down At night is when I remember what you did At night is when I recall vividly I close my eyes and the nightmares come I’m back in my old bedroom You are standing over me You have a leather belt in your hand You bring it down on my stomach I remember the red hot searing pain I remember the blood flowing freely I remember you laughing your evil laugh I remember how you left bruises all over me Now 8 years later I still feel sick You were supposed to love and protect me Now 8 year later I still feel the pain You broke my heart with what you did At night all the defenses come down At night is when I remember what you did At night is when I recall vividly I close my eyes and the nightmares come
