Norby is the cutest robot ever created, and this is the fine debut of Janet and Isaac Asimov as a writing team. Juvenile fiction that is smart, funny, and literate is in short supply, and this is one of the best ones ever.

It was just a old tin-can robot-with no guarantee. But Jeff only needed to teach it Martian Colony Swahili. What he did not realize what the robot had been constructed by a genius 50 years ago-from old parts of a damaged alien spacecraft! Jeff didn't know what he was getting himself into....
