This is my second read by Kava and I really enjoyed it. It'a pretty fast read but it does keep you interested from the start. The plot centers around three individuals, one of whom was just released from prison, who commit a bank robbery and end up killing 4 people after "one false move" by a teller. If you like a fast-paced book, pick this one up.

I have read many alex Kava stories and always feel that they are wrapped up too neatly at the end. This one is an exception. It is the best of her books I have read, it has an excellent plot and is very suspenseful. i read it in one day because I could not put it down. I highly recommend it to all mystery lovers.

I think I liked this stand alone by Kava better than the Maggie O'Dell books. The story was intriguing and without a "main" character the author could create a compelling tale.

A real page turner. Good story. I have enjoyed all of Ales books so far. I thought I might be disappointed because Maggie was not in this one but I was not.
