This is set in 1822 London. Jane contracted vampirism from tainted blood to a cut on her and her father has been trying to find a cure, he is a doctor. Along comes Callan, another vampire who wants the cure and maybe more. They have to fight more vampires and Callan has to try many attempts at the cure but in the end you will be surprised what happens with Jane & Callam. Great book. Looking forward to next one.

A good and different Vampire romance. This is the first Susan Squires books that I have read. But, I wish she wouldn't have focused the storyline so much on the degradation of the main character. A few pages here and there would have been fine. You can only read so about him being forced to lower himself to do her every bidding sexually. Borrriiinnnggg After reading the same thing numerous times I found myself skipping over those parts.
