Taking many minutes to pull up anything. My computer is fine and all other websites pull up quickly. Anyone else? What is wrong? 

It's very slow for me, too.   It was completely down earlier.

Out of nowhere at 11:30 at night, the site started responding normally. Hope this continues tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Not many responded to my earlier post  so it obviously was not a system problem. Just lucky me!

Sharon, not just you.  I had problems all day, too, and twice when I check the site 'is it down', it said paperbackswap.com was down for everyone.

Not normal, clicking  links are giving me blank white pages and cant move between pages. 

Yesterday was incredibly slow, today not as slow but still bad and often flipping to 'can't reach this page' although sometimes flipping back to PBS, other times not.

Just 'visited' 504 gateway whilst posting above.

Getting repeated "page not available" messages. Not a great way to present the site when I'm debating renewing my membership or not.

Most of yesterday I was not able to log on.  Got the 504 Gateway message & the Page unavailable.  This morning it's very slow to load.

I am getting this message when I am looking at book links & other pages:

Same problem here!  I just checked PBS's Facebook acount and 18 hours ago, they posted this:

Hello Members. We are aware that there are some intermittent problems with the site and have alerted the Tech Team to put in the fix. At this point we can only apologize for any inconvenience and hope the problem will be fixed very soon. Thank you for your patience!

Yesterday afternoon very slow or not working, thought it might be due to weather since snow storms were going thru.  Today it is working but slower than normal. 

As Jeanne wrote, if you want to go to a book page, you can forget it.  I wonder if the problem is on one of the servers holding that information, thus slowing down everything.

Not perfect, but lots better and quicker now.

Thanks everyone. Glad it wasn't just me! I seem able to get on best late at night, such as now when it is almost midnight. Perhaps it helps that there are only 125-160 on at night versus double that or more during the day?

Today was better than yesterday but far from ideal. MsJennifer--Thanks for that Facebook info. From now on, I will check the facebook page. But it would be helpful if they also posted this information somewhere on the actual site for those of us who struggled and managed to get on.  

BTW, I also got the same error messages that others were getting.

Whoops! I spoke too soon. This is still not good. I can navigate around the pages and click on posts in the forum, but it is very difficult to click through to an individual listing for a book. I had wanted to order something tonight but I just can't click through to the actual book listing where I could order the book. 

Hmmm, surely TPTB could manage to get a message to us on the site. Not everyone is on Facebook or any social media. They haven't replied to my email yet. Today I had a heck of a time logging in. Still, despite having difficulty posting on the forums, hope springs eternal, and I'm hoping it gets better. 

It's slow and then it crashes.

The team posted about the problem 2 days ago on their Facebook page. They're aware and trying to fix it, hopefully. 

Just wanted to post that as of right now, I'm having issues with the site too so i think it's still being worked on.
