The cover states "Tart Noir meets Ms. Marple" (The Times). This is 7th in a series of amateur sleuthing novels straight from England. I suggest skipping the first two. Start with "The Black Rubber Dress" and "Freeze My Margarita". I loved love the hard partying and artistic heroine, Sam Jones. If you are offended by character flaws this is NOT the series for you. However, if you like your protagonists cheeky grab this series at any cost.
