If you enjoy the writings of the Puritans, earlier Reformers, and especially the Westminster Divines, then this CD series is for you! This 32 CD set contains a large number of classic (and rare) books and sermons by many of the best authors (see authors and titles below) of both the first and second Reformations -- with a strong emphasis on the ... more »work of some of the most notable theologians and scholars that attended the Westminster Assembly. Various books on each CD are being made available here for the first time in many years (even centuries) -- and many of these classics are presently unavailable in any printed format (including Still Waters Revival Books photocopied hardcover and cerlox bound books)! Most of the CDs in this series are jam-packed (using over 600MB of space) and the information is presented in the common Adobe Acrobat PDF format. This format is readable by all types of computers with a CD drive using the free Acrobat Reader program available at adobe.com. The smallest CD contains over 4600 pages and the largest CD contains over 13,000 pages of information! Each CD is indexed so that you can easily click on a link to go directly to individual books. Furthermore, and this is even more important to those serious about locating important theological information, individual chapters of each book are also indexed for direct (one click) access. This is exceedingly useful for all the books included on each CD -- but is particularly helpful when using the commentaries (since you are able to easily access whichever individual verse [or verses] the author is commenting on in each commentary). However, individual words are not searchable in the older books included (since these are facsimile PDF "pictures" of the rare books, similar in appearance to Still Waters Revival Books photocopied hardcover and cerlox bound books), but individual words are searchable for all of the contemporary bonus books that are included with each CD. In addition to all the rare Reformation classics, on each of the 32 CDs in the PURITAN BOOKSHELF series you also get a folder full of five (or more) FREE bonus (PDF) BOOKS by classic and contemporary Puritan and Reformed authors, Some of the CDs also include additional free bonus audio (MP3) sermons and books. This is a great opportunity to own a vast library of some of the most important works of both Reformations (and related contemporary titles), at a small fraction of the cost of the actual books! Moreover, each CD in the PURITAN BOOKSHELF CD series will give you "one click" access to all titles and chapters in each work -- something not available at all with printed books. And remember that a number of these valuable and scarce works are almost impossible to find in our day (and if found, can be very expensive on the rare book market) or are buried away in libraries or rare book collections on various continents and are thus inaccessible to most people.
