The Parable of the Lily by Liz Curtis Higgs is a wonderful story that teaches multiple lessons on multiple levels. For the kids, they learn patience, kindness, to be happy with what you have, and to love unconditionally. For the older readers there are the Bible verses on each page to spark intelligent conversation, bible study and of course all the lessons the kids learned. Who doesn't need a gentle reminder every once in a while. Ms. Higgs has a wonderful way of telling a story that just gets to you. My girls and I love to pull out this and any other Parable Series book.
