Brilliant. Impressive Sci-Fi with a nice dose of African Colonial history blended-in. Fun characters and interesting places. Well worth the read.

Reminiscent of Western civilization's own cultural clash with Africa and India, Resnick's ( Ivory , LJ 9/15/88) latest novel attempts to understand the complex motives that underlie humanity's desire to impose its image on the universe.
