142 pages configured as an adult chapter book. If the plot wasn't as mature, I would have thought I was reading a youth book. Spacing was 1.5 between sentences and 1/2 inch spaces were placed between each paragraph. (As you can tell the manner of publishing really drove me nuts) As to the plot, entire main characters could have been left out, along with their dialog and the book would have progressed the same.
