OK everyone, grab you favorite tea pot and fill it up. Next get a snack to go with it. Now find a comfy place to sit and get ready to stay there for a very long time.

I was recently blessed with the opportunity to review a book from Harvest House Publishers. I have not been compensated in anyway to give a good review. These are my honest opinions and ideas about this book.

This book, The Perfect Blend, is number one in author Trish Perry's newest series named, The Teashop Series.

The book starts out with Steph Vandergrift leaving her family, friends, job, hometown and everything else she has ever known, to make a life with Middleburg attorney Rick Manfred. Rick has talked her into going to his hometown of Middleburg to elope. When she gets there she finds out he has left her at the alter, or as she is informed at his office, "he has taken a temporary leave of absence". Now what is she going to do? She broke ties and burned bridges at home so she can't go back. That's when the Lord sends an "angel" to help her. Milly is the owner of Millicent's Tea Shop. Milly offers her a temporary job at the tea shop. Along the way Milly introduces her to Kendall James, a very kind, and good looking, eligible bachelor. Kendall happens to own the Hotel where Steph is staying and they become fast friends, even though he keeps seeing her at her worst. Then through Milly and the tea shop she meets her future roomies, Liz and Christie. Liz and Christie take Steph under their wings and help her adjust to life in a new town. Just as Steph thinks everything is going to be OK, Rick comes walking back into town wanting to pick up where things left off. Steph now has to figure out what she really wants to do with her life.

Trish Perry has now been added to my list of favorite authors!! This book is one of those you CAN NOT put down once you get started. The characters in this book are so real, you feel like you want to go to Middleburg just to meet them and have tea at Milly's shop. I found my self laughing out loud as well as wanting to cry right along with Steph. Trish Perry shows us that by seeking God's acceptance first we will receive a blessing in the end. The author also included some great recipes at the back of the book that are absolutely yummy!! Don't just take my word for it, get out there and get this book and read it. Then post your comments here so I know what you thought about it.
