I keep coming back to Lee Child's books. They start fast (The first line in this book is "The cop climbed out of his car exactly four minutes before he got shot.") They have plenty of dropped clues. They feature a larger than life main character. And they tie up nicely in climaxes with plenty of twists. At times a little formulaic, often somewhat farfetched, yet each book draws me in.

Jack Reacher is like a sociopathic Spenser for Hire. He has no friends, and no relationships. What he does have is a genius level ability to work with numbers, and strategy. He is also so strong his pectoral muscles are a built-in bullet-proof vest, and he can kill a man with his elbow. In this episode, Reacher seeks revenge on a man long-thought dead. He teams up with the DEA to infiltrate a crime syndicate in order to get close to its leader, the resurrected Quinn. His laser-like focus on his goal, to kill Quinn gives him the ability to withstand cold, and invicibility in hand-to-hand combat. The pacing in the 2nd half of the book is off, and at one point it becomes a bit tedious. But it picks up at the end, when everyone bad gets it.

Reacher. Can't say enough about the character. Keeps me turning pages so fast I forget to take a break. In this one, He goes undercover for the DEA to help them out with a little 'off the books' mission. That clock in his head - I sure could use!! Can't wait to read the next one. Even if you don't read them in order, you will have a great read.

Wonderful book on Reacher. I'm reading them out of order and this book provides a little more insight into Reacher's personality and motivation. Tightly written and totally enjoyable.

All of the Lee Child books are great. Am swapping this one b/c I have it in hard back.

Thia is another one of Jack Reacher's adventures, fast-pased and involving a secretive rich family.

First of Lee Child's Jack Reacher series I have read. I found it moves just a little slow, but still held my interest. I might give him another try, but I still like Jack Carr's series more.

Intense as usual.

Good, fast paced. Reacher is retired from LAPD, works on a private case, donates time to a small force on another crime.
