This is the second book in the Phantom series.

For years movie star Lauren Cole has coveted the sword her husband bought for her, then kept behind glass in their home. She was pulled by the sword and longed for the day when she could touch it and get it out from the glass. Now she and her husband are divorced and the sword is finally, really, hers.

Locked within the sword by a centuries old curse and powerful magic is Aiden Forsyth. When the woman he has admired for years, Lauren, unwittingly releases him from the sword, Aiden vows to find his brothers as he is convinced they suffer the same magical fate.

I liked this book a whole lot better than the previous tale. The previous main characters did nothing for me, I didnt enjoy them and I had a hard time buying into their story. The secondary couple of Ben and Cat are the only things that kept me reading, and they really rescued that story for me.

This time around I loved the main characters and had no problem at all believing in the impossible and the merging of fantasy with reality. They have all the chemistry that the previous couple was missing and then some. Plus as a bonus Cat and Ben were still around and there were also a bunch of other characters to love and hate.

The story is mythical and sexy and as the saga of the Forsyth family continues I am happily along for the ride.

Now, I tend to be all in favor of nice, steamy sex scenes, but the lead characters in this book couldn't keep their hands-- physical or phantom-- off each other long enough to advance the plot at all. I might've made it through 50 pages.

Second series-BACK COVER DESCRIPTION:
One moremovie and Lauren Cole will be free of her role as an action heroine- and of her producer ex-husband...except that he still has her beloved antique sword. Nothing a little breaking and entering can't fix, but nabbing the weapon unleashes a magic that reignites her love life and puts her in grave danger. In 1747, Aiden Forsyth stormed a Gypsy camp to save his sister, only to fall victim to a powerful spell that has held him captive for more than two centuries. Finally liberated by a sword-wielding beauty, Aiden learns that in the future all the world's a stage- and he cannot tell if this maiden's affections are genuine or naught but an act. But she holds the key to his freedom, so he pledges to do whatever she asks. Lauren has never needed a protector-until she's forced to rely on the sexy warrior who has mysteriously appeared in her life. After all, it may be his age-old enemy who is trying to kill her.

PERSONAL REVIEW: Good reading with action and romance all in one.
