Pigsty Author:Mark Teague Wendell Flutz's room isn't a mess. It's a total pigsty. But Wendell's mother can't get him to clean it up. Wendell doesn't think the mess is so awful. In fact, he doesn't even mind it when one day he discovers a real pig sitting on his bed!
A cautionary tale for messy kids. A little boy doesn't want to clean his room, and it gets so icky that pigs actually move in, which is fine with him for awhile...until the pigs start messing with his comic books and invite MORE pigs over. That's when he gets the brilliant idea that maybe cleaning his room will rid him of the pigs, which, of course, it does. There is a twist at the end which is really cute.
My 3-year-old daughter loves this book, and I like the pictures, which are reminiscent of William Joyce, one of my favorite illustrators. Very fun book!
Oh My Goodness...how I loved this book!!! Unfortunately being fond of pigs to the extreme led me to make a mess in my room on more than one occasion hoping for a visit!!
I was seven years old I think.....and I thought this was a true story so I hoped they would come see me.
