i liked this a lot. it caught my interest from the first page and kept me interested. i had been looking for british mysteries and this had everything i was looking for. it was middle of the road between the silly cozy mysteries and the gruesome ones that make you feel badly when you've finished them.

Beginning of the relationship of Markby and Mitchell - great English village mystery with lots of characters and action. Good read!

I loved this book! It was such a great read. I love the UK as I even work on several UK projects living here in the states and it is such fun just to read all the words they use that are different from ours. I tell you it had me guess wrong all the way until the end. I look forward to catching up with this series.
