This story does not disappoint. Everything I found I loved about the first book is only enhanced here. A great follow-up to her first book. I love that you are growing with her experiencing all the nuances that come along with an independent woman in a strictly guarded society.

I loked this second installment better than the first. It may be that the characters came right back to me and I already felt connected, but this story had instrigue, romance, history and was just a flawless read.

This is a great series for lovers of historical novels, strong searching characters. Emily is a recent widow who stumbles into mysteries. The writer does a great job of letting the characters develop while keeping the series moving. These books are keepers and I have been sharing them with friends. You will enjoy :)
