The Potter's Field - Brother Cadfael Bk 17 Author:Ellis Peters The body of a woman is unearthed in the freshly plowed fields that once belonged to a local potter — now a Benedictine monk. I feel that this is one of the best in a wonderfully good series of medieval mysteries.
When a man leaves his wife to join a monastery she supposedly finds a lover and runs away with him. However her body is later found in a freshly plowed field. The mystery builds from there, and Brother Cadfael is called in to help solve it.
