I thought I'd read about 50 pages just to gauge the feel of the book, then I couldn't put the book down.

The Priest's Graveyard is about killers. Sometimes the lines are blurred between good and evil, and at so many points Dekker keeps you guessing. He alternates between two main characters who travel along two separate story lines for nearly half of the book. He makes the narrative just fascinating enough to keep you reading in spite of the separate narrative threads. Dekker utilizes third person point of view for Danny Hansen's storyline - a priest with a past that changes him forever. He uses first person point of view for Renee Gilmore who comes to us as a junkie laying in the dirt in an alley, swept up and saved from certain death by a strong stranger.

There are so many layers of good and evil, complete with twists and turns that keep you guessing. An excellent tale to keep you reading late into the night.

Once you start it you just can't put it down, it takes a turn you don't expect and that makes a difference in the way it ends, and I didn't much like the ending, but overall it's a good book
