Hi all, I just finished Prince Lestat by Anne Rice and really disliked it, anyone else have that problem?

I used to be a huge Anne Rice fan, but gave up on her about 15 years.  Everything I've tried to read of hers since Violin was released screams "contractual obligation".  There's no passion in her writing anymore, just flat, bland words wasting valuable paper.

I think that right after memnoch the devil, she really wanted to discuss religion. It had always been in her books, but the book always felt like a vampire book if that makes sense. After and during memnoch it felt like a book on religion and you would be forgiven if you forgot that it was supposed to be about vampires.

I haven't read it yet but it's on my WL. I find her hit and miss though, some I like and some I don't.
