This book was okay but it has about 4 different stories going on in it, different investigators on each case, it doesn't get jumbled up but you sure have to keep track of a lot of people and I'm don't usually like that but this a quick easy read

After reading Private, the first entry in this series, I thought this had great potential to be a strong mystery series and, with the Hollywood connection, a good bit of fun - along the lines of a Myron Bolitar or Lucas Davenport novel. As a result, I expected a different, more enjoyable book with witty banter and intriguing characters so I was disappointed with the introspective, self-loathing characters and dreary taking-itself-way-too-seriously plot. Just fell way short of my (perhaps unreasonable) expectations. I usually enjoy most of James Patterson's books, but this one didn't work for me.
