Title:

Pulled Pork for Sandwiches (crockpot)

Dish: Sandwiches
Dish Type: Meats
Cooking Method: Crockpot
Difficulty: 1 / 10
Servings: approx 6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 6-8 hours

Ingredients
  • 1 1 - Boneless pork blade/shoulder roast or Boston Butt
  • 1 12 oz - Bottle of BBQ Sauce - your favorite
  • 1 head or bag - Cabbage or Slaw mix
  • 1 pkg - Cole Slaw Seasoning Mix
  • 1 apprx 1/2 c - Mayonaise or Miracle Whip enough to coat slaw
  • 6 pcs - Good Buns from your bakery
Directions

Place roast in crock pot, cover, and set on low for 6-8 hours.  Drain well.  Using forks or a fork and knife, slice/shred to desired consistency.  Coat completely with BBQ Sauce and let sit on heat for approx 10 - 15 minutes longer.  Slice cabbage or use pre sliced slaw mix in the package, follow directions on slaw seasoning package (or your own slaw recipe).  Serve Pork on nice bakery buns with cold cole slaw on top of meat.

Notes

I have made this for years.  Very easy, always made it when the pork was on sale.  I sometimes throw two roasts in the crock and use one without BBQ sauce for sandwiches.  Good with just mayo.
