Great idea. Fast paced, but I felt like I was watching an episode of 24. Was paying attention but was way too over my head.

This is a pretty decent thriller with some sci-fi aspects, and the plot throws some curve-balls. The suspense kept me turning pages, but some of the plot twists were a little far-fetched!

I usually love any kind of story related to Atlantis and/or Antartica. This had all the promise of a really good adventure. But, and its a big "but", if the characters are unlikable and unbearable, how can one enjoy the rest of the story? Who do you root for? I'm going to assume the author wanted to make the characters with real human failures but it was slightly exaggerated to the point where I honestly didn't care who lived or died. Not a keeper for me.

I enjoyed this book. However, the underlying plot could have been developed more. I look forward to future books in this series.

Several scientifically improbable events, but other than that, it was a fun read with lots of excitement.
