This book is the sequel to Mary Christner Borntrager's Ellie. In this book, Ellie and David's daughter Rebecca finds a true friend in Susan Miller, a Mennonite girl of her own age. But, when she falls in love with Susan's brother James, she soon finds herself questioning the exclusive claims of the Amish church. This is the story of Rebecca's journey through faith and the world around her.

Read this today and enjoyed it much more than the first book. This is about Ellie's daughter Rebecca, who is an Amish girl who sees that even Amish people may not be living up to the best Christian standards. She doesn't understand why Mennonite Christians are looked down upon by the Amish, because the two she has been friends with have shown more love of Christ to her than some of the Amish she knows. She has a struggle between her upbringing and between doing what she believes is best according to God's Word.

I liked this story and especially recommend it to middle school aged girls.
