Another great mystery. Is it a ghost, post traumatic stress, or some thing or even some one else?

This book had a very believable plot with a wide cast of characters who are well defined. I had a hard time putting this book down, even though I had figured out the "bad guy" was early on in the book. The conclusion was very well done and quite satisfying. A very good read.

On my personal scale I gave this book a B+. I would have given it an A but for some reason the main character's name irritated me LOL. Menley and her husband are living on Cape Cod where Menley is suffering from Post Pardom Depression after having their baby Hannah coupled with the constant reminder that she was driving when a train struck the car killing her first child Bobby. So when Menley starts hearing things in their big house on the Cape it is so very hard to determine if she is really hearing things or if she is venturing off this side of sanity. This is a fairly good mystery and once again proves why MHC is the Queen of Suspense. It keeps you wondering about Menley through the whole thing. On a side note I did feel that there were a few too many characters that I had a little trouble keeping straight but overall this did not effect my enjoyment of the book.

If you enjoy mystery books as much as I do, then you will definitely enjoy this one. Plus, this book isn't just about a good mystery.. it's about a failing marriage, love, getting over a loved one, learning to move on, and so much more. It's a beautiful work and all of the characters were also so well-written.

Menley Nichols and her husband, Adam, a criminal attorney, rent a house on Cape Cod, in the hope of restoring their faltering marriage. The birth of their daughter, Hannah, has revitalized their relationship, but menley has never stopped blaming herself for the accidental death of her two-year-old son. The serenity of the Cape promises a new start.

In Remember House, an eighteenth-century landmark with a sinister past, strange incidents force Menley to relive the accident that killed her son, and she begins to fear for Hannah's safety. Then Adam takes on a client suspected of murder when his wealthy young bride of only three months drowns in a storm-and the family is drawn into a rising tide of terror. A confrontation on a dark, rain-swept beach leads to a harrowing climax that only Mary Higgins Clark could have created.

Another Mary Higgins thriller. Forced to relive the tragic accident that took her small boys life, Menley begins to fear for her daughters life. Her family she fears is in real danger.
