This book was very well written. It struck a chord with me, and I'm sure everybody can find something to relate to. But I do recommend having tissues nearby, because in addition to the usual emotions Kingsbury's books bring up, this book also had the Baxter family dealing with September 11th. Definitely worth reading, though I do recommend reading Redemption first.

Second book in the Redemption series

This is a great series, that deals with the subject of relationship principles in a fiction form, with characters that you don't want to let go at the end of the book.

I am really enjoying the storyline in these books. They are a little cheesy and don't contain the best writing, but I can sacrifice those for a book that makes me think about God and what's important.

This is the 2nd book in the 1st set of series with the Baxter Family. There are actually 3 sets of series:

Redemption Series (5 books)
Firstborn Series (5 books)
Sunrise Series (4 books)

In addition, the Above the Line Series by Karen Kingsbury also includes the Baxter family.

I do not recommend reading this book as a stand alone; you will have some questions left unanswered. The book encompasses so many aspects of remembering: an Alzheimer unit, the tragedy of 9/11 and those that lost their lives, and working through the grief of personal loss. The Baxters are a family like many others who struggle with the questionable decisions made by others and themselves even as a family of faith.

The book read fairly quickly for me.

Very good book - second in series and you really get to know the Baxter family through these books. But you definitely need a kleenex. Dealing with Alzheimer's issues and also Sept 11 - neither one of which is issues we want to face or remember. Well written. Can't wait to read Book 3. Carol

This was a fantastic book. It was probably my favorite out of the redemption series. I couldn't wait to read the next book.
