The first two books in the series were, for me, just so so, but this one was really enjoyable. Although Simon is no less a jerk about women in this one, the story line and characters were engaging. I've already ordered the next in the series.

Another good entry in Susan Hill's mystery series. Hill doesn't really hide the resolution of the mysteries; the pleasure in her books is less about finding out who is responsible than seeing the crime from multiple vantage points. Very character driven.
