I have been exploring the world of christian authors and stumbled onto this book by Anne Rice. I have not ever read any of her other books and only saw a movie based on one of her books and found it interesting. But I felt inspired to order this book and am so glad I did. While the events pertaining to Jesus life is fiction, it does help to see Jesus through eyes of having a normal life and dealing with it. I enjoyed this book so much and was glad I was inspired to order and read it and feel other Christians will enjoy it also to get a glimpse of life back in Jesus days. It's a very good read and I highly recommend it. Brenda

I'm giving this a three. It was a fast read and held your interest. It gives a view of how life was lived back then and the human side of Jesus. Even so it didn't bowl me over.

Not as good as the first in this series, but still a good read. If you are interested in the "missing" years of Christ's life, this is a good fictional account.
