"WOW, this is a wonderful book. It kept me turning pages well into the night. I couldn't wait to see how it ended, yet hated when it did.
These two characters will have you coming back for more from this author. (I read this one first then realized that there were two before this one. I AM DEFINETELY GETTING KANE AND LUKE TO READ NEXT.)" amazon review

Third in the Benedict men series. Sexy, rough Sheriff Roan Benedict is as thrilling as the first two.

Sherriff Benedict just shot a female helping to rob a convenience store. But what about the bruises and rope burns? She claims no to remember. 2 things are clear to the sherriff...1 she's lying and 2 someone is out to kill her.

I liked the Benedict clan and it was an interesting story. Too much "thinking" going on with the secondary character, Tory. She was interesting, like Roan, however I would have loved to see more dialog from the main characters and less thinking about their situation. The end was very good.

Sherrif Roan Benedict comes from a family of hardheaded men who have a habit of rescuing and falling for equally hardheaded women. And sure enough, he's falling for a woman he just shot...
This mysterious stranger just helped rob a convenience store. But that doesn't explain the bruises on her jaw and rope burns on her wrist. Though intrigued, Roan is suspicious of her claim that she doesn't remember what happened. Two things are clear to Roan. One: she's lying. Two: someone is trying to kill her.

There's only one place safe enough for a lady in danger. Right by his side. Because in Louisiana, a man holds on to what he wants....
