I am a BIG Johanna Lindsey fan! I have read all of her books, and I buy her books without having to even read the cover to know I will love it. This was a good book and held my attention. It had a good plot and strong characters. However, I was a little disappointed with the ending. The climated even could have been more believable and I would have liked to know how their future turned out. All things considered, its worth reading for all current and new fans of this author.

wish I'd waited to get this via PBS...very slow beginning & not my favorite story line...JL's done a much better job at story-telling in the past...almost seems as if someone very inexperienced wrote it in her name. ??

Couldn't even finish this book. I thought the writing was choppy and the dialogue was "blah!" Is not even 1/4 as good as classic JL. Gave it 2 stars, and one of those was for the pretty cover!

As a Johanna Lindsey fan I haven't found many of her books I don't like but some are better than others. This was a good one. I felt it was a bit rushed but still very good and a humorous compilation of main characters. I loved that the main heroine wasn't the weakling- though she pretended to be one she could sure hold her own against anyone. Very good read! The only criticism that I would think would be valuable to anyone is she doesn't go enough into the "Rogue's" character development- basically he is a pretty face with a mysterious past but it seemed like she could have expanded on it more to make him so much more desirable or intriguing.

As always Johanna Lindsey writes amazing characters in interesting plots :) I liked the naive but strong heroine and the too-handsome-for-his-own-good hero. Court intrigue and misunderstandings...make a delightful story. :)
