What a tender, poignant and beautiful story! I truly enjoyed this book. Charlotte Bronte was an amazing woman who finds unexpected love late in life in an unexpected person, Arthur Nichols, a gentle but strong individual who adored everything about her. Her intellect and creativity is certainly to be admired. What courage it took to publish the stories she wrote in her day! "I write only truth and what I know," she said as she took pen in hand to write about women and their lives contrary to romantic books so many others wrote. No wonder her genius caught fire with the public of her time. If one hasn't read her writing prior to reading this wonderful book one would certainly pick up her writing afterward.
