Romeo and Juliet is one of the classic Shakespeare plays that should be required reading for all english students! Like most of Shakespeare, I believe it is best viewed as an actual play after reading the book. It is in the same style of writing as the King James Bible translation, so the language is somewhat archaic and slow to read. But it is rich and beautiful all the same.
