This book, The Rosary - Prayer Comes Round, (full title) is an excellent overview by Garry Wills of how the prayers of the holy rosary developed since the beginning of the life Jesus as Jesus shared his life with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Joseph, the Apostles, the people whom he loved and healed. This book will deepen one's understanding of why praying the rosary is a prayerful opportunity for spiritual growth.

The Rosary Prayer Comes Round is one of the most popular books written on the topic.

Each Mystery of the Rosary as a Marian devotion meditation regarding the life of Jesus in Christianity is written about, providing depth and insight to why 'that' mystery of the Rosary has unique characteristics for prayer. The mysteries of the rosary discussed are Glorious, Joyful, Sorrowful; the newer Mystery of Luminous is not included because the book was published before the Pope added the new Luminous Mysteries. Garry Wills has written many books on faith, faith development, Jesus, Catholicism, etc.
