"Sabbath In Crisis" by Dale Ratzlaff is a thorough and respectful examination of the doctrine espoused by various sabbatarian faiths, with special reference to Seventh-day Adventism. Seen in the light of the New Covenant teachings of the early Christian Church, keeping the traditional seventh day as a holy obligation takes new meaning. In fact, Ratzlaff clearly shows how emphasis on any of the laws incumbent on the Jews before the birth of Christ and the fulfillment of prophecy in Christ's crucifixion makes a mockery of the ministry of Christ. In no way, though, does this mean modern people are at liberty to kill, steal, etc., because the rule we call the "Golden Rule" covers such things without the need to detail every aspect. This is a most inspiring and enlightening book!
