This wasn't completely terrible, but this wasn't up to par with what I'm used to reading from Ms. Edwards. I listened to this because I was looking for an old school historical romance with damsel in distress and all the tropes. This was just meh. I know it was a short novel, but you can plenty across in a small amount of words, which was not done here. It was an okay enough story, but it was lacking.
