loved the story line and concepts of this books. excellent children's sci-fi book

I really loved this book. As with the Spiderwick Chronicles, it weaves a wonderful tale with beautiful illustrations. It's about a girl named Eva who has lived a sheltered life. I mean "really" sheltered. She lives in a home underground with her robot "mother". This is all she has known all her life but she knows there is more out there. Matter of fact, she's been training for the day that she can go to the surface. When their home is attacked she finds that her time is run out and she must learn to survive. Along the way she meets many types of creatures. Some good, some bad. She sets out on an adventure to look for more of her kind and makes wonderful friendships along the way.
I can't wait to read the 2nd book and see what happens to Eva.
