I read the first title in this series and loved it so I quickly bought #2 and #3. I have to say I was a little disappointed with this one. Although I did like it well enough, the mystery plot is not front and center. Probably two thirds of the book are about Kevin's hustling, semi-boyfriend woes, mother's TV debut, etc, leaving not many pages for the mystery, which is why I wanted to read it.

The humor is still lurking around in this one.
I love Kevin's mom, dang it, I wouldn't want to mess with her! but Freddie runs a close second.
Tony, I'm really sorry to say has not grown on me. When Kevin put his foot down, I was cheering!
Even with the surprise ending, it just kind of left me sad for Kevin that he would want someone like that.
How long would it have taken Tony to tell the truth if Kevin hadn't put his foot down. Maybe Tony needs a babysitter.

This book is so far outside of my "normal" genre that I cannot describe it! But as a voracious reader, I find that if you love to read, you can read almost anything. This book has a mystery to it and has some humor, if you can get past the graphic sexual content (which I might add I do not enjoy whether it is homosexual or heterosexual in a book)you can then read a rather good stoyr, written well with good character devlopment and humor.
