Orphaned Mary Lennox comes to live with her uncle on Yorkshire moors. She has nothing to do and no one to play with. The great empty house is full of secrets including a distant crying voice she hears but no one will explain. A friendly Robin showes her the way to a secret garden which has been abandoned and forgotten. Slowly the secrets at Misselthwaite Manor begin to unfold as Mary brings the garden back to life.
