It's an easy read. Parts of it seem so contrived though. The humor just was not humrous enough as it seemed thought out and not real somehow. Other than that it was a pretty good read. Will I recommend it to a friend? Probably not.

great read, about a journalist who always wanted to go to Paris and take le cordon bleu cooking course, once she loses her high-powered job in London, she decides to follow her passion.it has recipes as well as highlights of the events at the school, plus stories about life in Paris.
...for the valuable recipes alone. I learned so much about gourmet cooking, and realized that I had not forgotten as much of the French I learned in high school and college as I thought! I won't be posting my copy, and I'm sorry, but I want to keep it. C'est magnifique!
A fun, delightful read; and a "look inside" Paris' Cordon Bleu's cooking school. Kathleen Flinn's writing will amuse, inspire some, and educate others. Recipes are shared with each chapter...a bonus feature! A vibrant tale of romance, food, Paris and pursuing a dream; all that Kathleen Flinn experienced. She shares much of her detailed journal notes with a wonderful book. A great read.
