I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't put it down! Finished it one afternoon. I intend to find more books by this author. I just loved the suspense with a little bit of history thrown in.

I thought this book started out pretty slow but picked up as it went along. I then got engrossed in the "mystery" of what was being searched for, then it picked up and was really a good read after all! I think the details were really good in this book, you could visualize the surroundings, the characters and their dress, even the smells of mildew, fir needles, the ocean, and the bayou! It was a quick and easy read for me over a weekend.
