This was a wonderful story! It is a bit of heartache with a bit of hope (only a small bit), but as the story unfolded I found I truly loved the characters. It is the everyday magic theme that Hoffman is known for. Mare Winningham has a wonderful voice and was a perfect storyteller for the story.

This story follows a family path through ruin and redemption, how people enter your life and change it forever.

Mare Winningham does a wonderful job of telling this story. Her voice is steady and calm as she tells of Arrie's struggles in life. I could not wait to get back in my car and listen to this book.
