I really liked it! (And thank all the gods, she finally got a good editor!) Yes it was "shallow" but all her books are, they are just good fun reading, usually. This one definitely was that! I loved the outer space setting, and the characters, the relationship that developed...could have used a little more smoothing out, and there were 3 or 4 editorial errors, but overall, a much better edited book than others I have read by this author.
It was good, not great but very rarely are space books. I plan on reading the next one.
