This book is still on the best sellers lists. It is so good you won't want to put it down!

I thought the book started off with a bang and I was really interested in the main characters, there was a slight twist at the end of the book that I didn't see coming which is unusual.

The plot was fast-paced with many twists and turns, if you like thrillers, you will enjoy this one, it's a bit predictable if you are an avid suspense fan, but when does that stop us from enjoying a well-written story?!

The books cover description should be called a major spoiler because it almost tells the story in just a few sentences. I'm glad when I got the book I didn't read the description before otherwise I might have been tempted to not read the book at all.
Luckily the description, even if read, doesn't take away that Smash Cut is an exciting thriller to read.
Just when I thought how great the author had hidden the killer's identity (with hints it might not be the suspect you have in mind) she plain let me know by telling me. At first I was shocked and disappointed but afterwards it made perfectly sense and didn't bother the suspense in the least.

I probably won't go back in time to read Brown's older novels but will keep an eye on new publications.

I love her books and "Smash Cut" did not disappoint. Her characters are always believeable and this book plays up the old Alfred Hitchcock movies. And as in his movies, there is a shocking ending. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one day.

Was disappointed in Sandra Brown (again) with this one. Another contrived & convoluted plot which tried too hard to incorporate a love of films with a psycho character who was obsessed with movies. The romance portion was terribly weak.

A multi-millionaire and his companion are walking out of an elevator in a very elite hotel. A person with a ski mask on is waiting for them and shoots the man. He falls down dead. His companion is shocked but spared. There are other people in the elevator as well and are shell-shocked as well.

His family is notified and they do not know any enemies that he might've had. Is it one of their former employees who has a vendetta against them?

The family's son major in college was film and theatrical. Since he is a millionaire in his right, he has no interest in having a job. He likes to watch movies and play his tennis matches. He also lives out his life according to what movies he enjoys at the time. He quotes movie lines constantly and impresses people with this charming feature.

Is he acting out a movie this time or is the killer a half a dozen characters that Brown has shown us along the way?

Brown's novel always have a twist at the end. You will never guess the big one at the end of THIS read.

It kept my attention until the very end. I didn't know what was going to be the downfall of the killer and I kept wanting to read to find out.

This started out slow and really was so far fetched from the beginning I almost gave up. But I kept reading and it became a pretty good mystery with some twists and turns along the way. If you can get past some crazy far fetched incidents in the beginning of the book, it is a worth reading.

Sandra Brown is one of my favorite authors but I wasn't to thrilled with some of the language in this story. Maybe I'm getting old. But I did like the story and it had a surprise ending. I look forward to reading more of her books.
