I read this book about a year ago and it was enough to inspire a series of art pieces, so that should tell you how good it is. Kesey is a great writer and this is a great book!

Superb Ken Kesey. Captures life in the timbered hills of the Northwest. One of the best books you'll read.

A riveting story of the relationship between a brother and step brother - both misunderstand each other with tragic consequences. Excellent read; very well written. A little slow to start but keep with it...the beginning is set in the present, the rest of the book in the past. It is the past that is riveting!
