Finally, Adelaide gets her happy ending! Jessie and Adelaide's romance was satisfying, but perhaps not as riveting as the first two in series. In my mind, the historical detail of the Cherokee culture was what made this story shine. I have to admit, though, that by book 3, the alternating POVs got a little tiresome. How gratifying to see Jessie's anger and Adelaide's fear morph into something beautiful and strong. 3.5 stars.
