I wanted to love this book because "Astrid and Veronika" was one of the best books that I've read in the past year. Ms. Olsson's prose is beautiful but something was missing for me. Maybe it's because I wasn't drawn in by the main character and I couldn't sympathize with Cecelia. Nevertheless, don't let that deter you. Ms. Olsson writes beautifully about love, loss and difficult decisions. I look forward to her next book with anticipation.
