Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan finally fills in the gaps between the end of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video games and the Old Republic books. And it's written by the author of the games, so that makes it even better.
Revan has settled down and is preparing to raise a family. He has come to peace with his previous life, as well as he remembers it. But he becomes troubled by dreams...Of a dark planet filled with lightning and the dark side. Convinced that this isn't just his lost memories, but perhaps a premonition, Revan sets out to find out what has stirred up his dreams. But in the process, he comes face to face with a past he may wish he had never remembered.
The other half of the book focuses on a Sith Lord, Scourge, who has been engaged by the Emperor to ferret out and destroy a plot against him. But what Scourge finds is so horrible that it may take a pact with the Jedi to save the galaxy.
For fans of the old video games, this is some good closure and a final send-off to characters who feel like old friends. We get to finally learn the whole truth about what happened to Revan in his missing years, we get to see Meetra, the hero of the second game, and Lord Scourge is a complex character that really could make one root for the Sith. If you are a fan of the games, or just love the Star Wars universe, you're in for a real treat with this read!!
