4 stars for the story - however, the author commits the crime of narrating the book herself. Completely ruins the audio as she read the story in a monotone - why do authors do this? I had the same problem with the woman who wrote "Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood" - the book was good but because she narrated it herself, it was almost un-listenable (is that even a word?).
a wonderful book. Heartbreaking, but wonderful.
The book is well written and will tear your heart out.
I agree with the above reviewer that authors shouldn't read their own books. This is not as bad as she makes it sound, but it isn't dramatized like a trained actress would do it.

Loved both the movie and this audio version of Still Alice. The narration is great, wonderful story that brings all characters to life. I saw the movie first and was surprised to learn that the book had a different ending. But wonderful nevertheless.
