I was up until midnight finishing this one. I loved it! The author drops you right into London..a London no one else can see, except for George and his new "friend" (or rather, his new uneasy ally) Edie. George breaks a small stone dragon head off the face of a wall and suddenly brings to life all the statues in London! Unfortunately, the non-human forms (dragons, gargoyles, etc.) are out to destroy him! Fortunately he gets some help from The Gunner, from a war memorial, and the Black Friar, who tries to explain what George needs to do to get things back to normal.

The action is steady and full of tension. The bad news? It leaves you wanting Volume Two!!
