Hi, I'm not sure if i ever posted here.  But i would like to know what kind of stretching exercise you all do.

I do Tai Chi almost everyday but i don't consider it as a stretching exercise, please let me know if im wrong.

Can you all share what kind of stretching you all do.

Much appreciated.

On TV doctors show they recently advised that stretching be done at the end of a walk/run now-- not before as we have all been trained to do!

Yea, i remember it was before exercise. i started going to the gym and they do it after, i was concern becouse don't you suppose to warm up first.

what they do is run in place or ride the bike for five minutes to get the heart going.

Ok, thank you

WRT running, it is better to stretch after.  The problem with stretching before is that your muscles are cold and you can inadvertently pull something.  It's also not necessary.  What's more helpful is a warm up, or some kind of dynamic stretching you might say.  I do a routine like this before a run: http://marathontraining.tv/uncategorized/chirunning-body-looseners-and-four-dynamic-warm-up-exercises-for-runners

Then after I'll do some hamstring, quad and hip stretches.  I tend to have more hip issues so if I have more time, I'll focus on that.

I practice yoga so that adds a lot of flexibility.
